i firmly believe that fiction writing is more powerful than realism. what can be captured by imagination is not realistically fathomable. any comments??

Sitting by the sea side,
I witnesses two scenes
On one side,
were a score of towering buildings
Silhouetted against the dusky sky
Each trying to make place for itself
Racing to touch the clouds
Then I turned to the other side
The grey waters below the orange sky
Stretching as far as my vision stopped
And my imagination grew
Till I saw a faint glimmer of a ship
Voyaging deep into the sea
I like this one better, I thought
And then I realized
That my journey was not to be
on the fast tracks of life
But on the roads less traveled…….
I am a woman
In love with a woman
They tell me it’s a farce
Its wrong, unholy, abnormal
They mock me,
Ridicule me
Curse me
But she still loves me
Warm and tender
And when I feel her touch
I feel a natural urge
I feel alive and gay
Is it wrong to love a woman?
Who brightens my days
And comforts my nights
And gives me the joy
Of a different love
So mock me
Ridicule me
Curse me
But I cannot pretend
And I say it with my head held high
I am a woman
In love with a woman
